30 Days of Loli: 10 Things from my Wishlist

I'm starting to wonder if this 30 Day Lolita Challenge is meant to be done consecutively in days back-to-back, because honestly, it is looking a little obsessive haha.

But there have been some positive side effects of looking at my blog more. For one thing, I've deleted some irrelevant entries and cleaned up tags, and also added a handy-dandy Tag List in the side bar. Now by referencing those links, you can see My Coordinates, Event Reports, Live Reports (concerts), and more.

I am actually a little behind on Concert reports, with two big shows to tell you about. The first was a 5-man live at Takadanobaba Area, which included Kaya, Lycaon, Cocklobin, Ambergris, and Art Cube. The second was a Kyary Pamyu Pamyu concert here at the Waikiki Shell. Hopefully I can get those up soon, maybe on a day I feel like taking a break from this meme.

Today's theme errs on the materialistic side... 10 Things From My Wishlist!

Some things are specific, others not so much. I haven't lusted after a particular print in a long time, so that has something to do with it.

Anyways, let's get started!

1. "That" Beauty:Beast Bag

I have no idea what it's called, I only know that it is made by the Japanese brand beauty:beast. I've tracked it down on Y!J Auctions, Mbok and reference pictures on Poupee Girl, but have never snagged one for myself.

It's basically a fancy messenger bag, with all of those belted pockets in the front.

I always loved the gothic, but refined design, but bumped it to the top of my wishlist when I saw Kyo from Dir en grey carrying one in an old Kera Street Snap.

Can you believe that's Kyo? 

The bag comes in several colours and embossments, but I think my favourites are the plain black or red.

2. Metamorphose's Hospitality Doll and Engelsbeginn Sets

I've always been a sucker for Metamorphose's "Hospitality Doll"/Nurse sets, and even owned the pink one a few years ago. Unfortunately I fell on financial issues and had to auction it off, but oh how I wish I still had it. If I had a redeemable coupon for any one Lolita set, that would be it. I hope to someday collect the matching agenda covers, shoes, makeup bags and purses that go with it.

3. A long, bustled Atelier Pierrot Jsk.

I fell in love with Atelier's long white Jsk while I was planning my wedding. Originally, I was going to have a Lolita themed after party with this dress, but it kept slipping through my fingers. I'd still hope to own this dress one day for a vow renewal, or maybe in red, black, or blue just for anytime use.

4. A floor-length/long black corset skirt.

In the style of Excentrique or Atelier Pierrot... the perfect staple to a gothic wardrobe I have yet to acquire.

5. A Triple Fortune Bonnet

Though I've learned to make hard bonnets myself, you just can't top the extravagance of a Triple Fortune Bonnet!

6. Metamorphose's "Dolly Crown" Velveteen Jsk in green.

I love this colour, this cut, this embroidery... I love everything about this dress, but only in that exquisite and rare emerald hue.

7. Innocent World's Rose Panel Jsk

This has been on my wish list for a very long time, but I never come across it. I did find it once while I was in Japan, but it was in awful condition as if it had been run through a washing machine several times. :/ So sadly, the search continues.

8. Baby, the Stars Shine Bright Trianon OP

How long have I pined for this dress?? Probably as long as it is old, haha. As a chiffon addict, and a fan of long sleeves, I simply need this.

9. Baby, the Stars Shine Bright Charlotte Baniran Jsk in Red

I just adore how Princessy and classy this Jsk is. I also love red (and jewel tones in general) in Lolita. Plus, dem pintucks!!

10. Anything dramatic.

I love things that are refined, but unusual. Whether it's a classy pair of heels encrusted in gold glitter, or a solid colour Jsk with tons of pintucks, I love things which speak to their own quality. I'm not such a big fan of prints or patterns, unless they're leopard print, stripes, polkadots, or kimono prints. As for spinning fairy wonderland cupcakes, eh, you won't have to fight me off of that at an auction.

I love rich, decadent and unique clothing that I can use in several different ways. That's why, if you ever see my real wish list, it's overflowing with simple but sophisticated pieces by Excentrique and Atelier Pierrot. 

As for J-brands outside of Lolita, I also love Qutie Frash, Ozz-On, and Takuya Angel.

LBC: Top 3 Wishlist Items

It has been a long time since I joined the gathering under the Lolita Big Top, for the Lolita Blog Carnival. (Or maybe it just feels like a long time.)

Truth be told, I'm not up to date on anything Lolita at all. My friends know when all the new releases and re-releases are, and I'm just sitting around enjoying the dresses I have. Is that a bad thing? No, I don't think so. I haven't pined for a dream dress in a long time. Though there are brands I would love to just amass a collection from, such as Atelier Pierrot.

Thus, this week's challenge topic was a bit of a head scratcher for me... "Top 3 Wishlist Items". Let's take a look at what I've been dying for.

First of all, this isn't even a lolita item is it? But it is currently my dream item. It's an asymmetrical coat by Mint Neko. It jumped out at me when I browsed the webshop, and I choked a bit at the price tag, approaching $400. But then I saw the coat in person, when I modelled for Mint at Kawaiikon. It was so gorgeous and detailed, it has hung in my mind ever since. If I received a mysterious credit card from a benefactor/sugar daddy that said "Go get some clothes", this is the first thing I'd hunt down. 

Next thing on my wish list is... this entire h.Naoto BLOOD coordinate. It's been haunting my dreams since I first saw the photos. Alternatively, I've been pining for a long gothic lolita ensemble in general, a  la Atelier Pierrot. 

I suppose last, but not least... because I feel required to post something actually Lolita, haha...

... is this dress! Like I said, I haven't been following Lolita lately, but I saw this dress somewhere and immediately saved the picture. I adore red in Lolita, and think this dress is so precious and princessy. I would love to dress up like Snow White and wear this with my red enamel Metamorphose shoes. Unfortunately, I think it is sold out in this colour way, according to a friend who helped me look for it. Sigh, that's my luck. 

Other things on my must have wish list, that aren't necessarily Lolita...

1. A Takuya Angel Scouter!! I have always, always wanted one of these. One of the first books I ever bought as a teenager on Tokyo Street Fashion had a photo of someone wearing a scouter in it, and I have wanted one ever since.

2. A Qutie Frash outfit. I think Qutie Frash's outfits are so unique, have the perfect balance of futuristic and nostalgic, their colours and patterns have such nice balance, and on top of that, it's all so fricken sexy. 

Lastly... I don't know, you are really asking too much of a fashion enthusiast to narrow it down to a handful of items, haha. If you'd like to see clothing I like outside of Lolita, and my "wish list" items, have a glance at my Pinterest Board called "Get On Me".

LBC: My Favourite Dress

Today's Lolita Blog Carnival topic is simple, perhaps too simple; so simple, it's actually extremely difficult.

The question raised to Lolitas this week, was "What is Your Favourite Dress"? 

But there are HUNDREDS of dresses I've oohed and aahed for over the years. How could you expect me to pick just one?

But the truth is, there is one that holds a special place in my heart right now. The current apple of my eye...

The Angelic Pretty (gasp!) Fortissimo series.

"Fortissimo" refers to a piece of music played at a high volume. Appropriately, with its contrasting red, blue, and bold pin stripes, this is a loud dress! But somehow, I think the balance is perfect.

As I've said before, I love the look of school uniforms and all uniforms in general, so I love the cut of these dresses as well.

This dress has been on my want-to-buy list for a long time; nearly a year! And I always miss it. So darlings, if you see her floating around, please sit on her for me, and I'll come running to catch it. xD 

My next favourite dress at the moment, is the "Twilight Circus Jumperskirt II", by Alice and the Pirates.

Like the Fortissimo series, the black version of the print has my two favourite colours: red and blue, and the cut of the bodice has an adorable military style. Again, I always miss this one at sale or auction, it's so distressing. T___T

My next favourite dress (told you, you can't pick just one!) is Baby's "My Little Red Riding Hood" series. The worst part about it is that it was released while I was still in Japan, but I was saving money at the time so didn't buy it. 

The original "Red Riding Hood" series featured embroidery and appliqué, but I much prefer this remake, with the water-colour picture book scenes along the border. Adorable!

Speaking of appliqué and embroidery... last, but not least, is Baby's "Angel in the Window" Jsk. 

The appliqué features an elegant gold window, embroidered gold stars, angels with sheer wings, candles with gold beams of light, and a cross. 

Though I'm not particularly a fan of full shirring, the reason I love this dress is because the first lolita friend I ever met offline was wearing this dress when I met her. When she came through the door in all black, wearing this dress and a little black side ribbon, I thought, "She is the most beautiful person I've ever met". Though I didn't even own a real lolita dress at that time, I was in awe of her elegance, and I think it was at that moment I decided to really get into lolita. 

Of course, wish lists are never ending and ever-changing! One thing I learned that really makes me happy while lolita hunting, is searching for things that have elements you like- not just one specific dress. Looking for one specific dress can drive you crazy!! 

So, when looking for lolita, I look for red, blue, black or green tones, stripes, things that would be cute with berets, military styles, school styles, or darker prints. 

(But, I do keep a wish list too!)
